Corso Triennale in Scienze della Mediazione Linguistica is equivalent to all degrees obtained in other Universities at the end of all courses akin to class 3 academic degrees in “Scienze della mediazione linguistica” as described in ministerial decree August, 4th 2000, replaced by L-12 class as described in ministerial decree March 16th, 2007. This innovative course combines linguistic skills and knowledge with IT, business, economics and law studies; which gives the students the competences to successfully work in our multicultural historic and social context.

Corso Triennale in Scienze della Mediazione Linguistica has a duration of three years, and gives a total of 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System Credits).

Plan of Study

The Plan of Study is composed by 19 exams: 7 exams for the first year, 7 exams for the second year, 5 exams for the third year. The classes can be both held on an annual or semestral schedule, which imply different durations (didactic units or unità didattiche) and a different ECTS value.

Every Academic Year the overall course schedule is updated and arranged in accordance to the optional courses achieving minimum attendance number for activation.

Students can choose between two specializations: Languages for International Relations and Languages for Business Management.

Course aims

The course aims at giving the students:

  • A solid cultural and linguistic base in at least two languages besides Italian
  • Technical-linguistic skills in both oral and written comprehension and production developed from metalinguistic knowledge
  • Structural knowledge of natural languages and basic linguistic analysis skills
  • Basic knowledge in economics, law, history and politics, geo-anthropologics and literature.
  • IT skills for communication and information management
  • Knowledge of characteristics and problems concerning specific work areas (public institutions, business concerning production, culture, tourism, environment…) related to the territory’s peculiarities and its possible interethnic and intercultural evolutions.

Today Linguistic Mediators are a precious asset for society, for their expertise in foreign languages and knowledge of the job markets and the cultural and socio-economic environment they move in.

The Course gives the student across-the-board knowledge and skills that allow him/her to be capable of fitting into the most requested professional profiles and to gain access to manager-level jobs in Public Administration. Linguistic Mediators can be employed as:
